Dogs were always apart of my life. And always will be.

From a Golden Retriever (O.B) —> Rottweiler (Buddy) —> Maltese (June), I fell in love with the quirky nature and unconditional love of dogs. In high-school I co-op’d at a local Veterinarian Clinic in Scarborough and realized Veterinarian care was not for me.

I graduated with my Bachelors of Concurrent Education. I found my passion. Teaching. changing the world 1 mind at time and helping them make smart choices. I love that “Ah-Ha” moment when something clicks, watching their eyes brighten as they problem solve to success. Creating strong building blocks and unlocking potential!

Meet Milo:

Like many others, our story started on Kijiji. I was ready for a dog in my life. I bought a new home, stable career and had the time and resources to invest on a dog. I knew what to expect (right?). I had dogs growing up and Youtube has endless content on training if I needed help. What could go wrong?

“Puppy Blues” is a real thing. After the first month I was stuck thinking if I made a mistake. Milo was hyper anxious, fearful of his own shadow even tried to bite our vet. I needed to wear shoes in my home because he would bite (not nip) my feet and ankles. Milo did not eat very well and when he would eat he had G.I issues and allergic skin reactions. I was desperate and nothing I researched online helped, it only seemed to make things worse.

I spent literally hundreds of hours, tried dozens of trainings and nothing worked. Until something did. I stumbled across a Balanced trainer who seemed clairvoyant. They understood what issues I was facing and gave me the tools and education to properly communicate with Milo. They trained me. They trained me to be Milo’s teacher, unlocking his potential and living his best life.

I have met countless families who’s story mirrors my own and are looking for help.

It's been a minute since I left my Management job and made a career change. I am re-directing my passions towards my community and helping families see light in darkness when training their dogs.

The contradicting information out on the internet is endless. From training methods to food and nutrition...I've even seen heated debates on dog names.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not the leading most expert in any of these but I am invested more than your average and I've debated on those online forums...I had sleepless nights of being guilted in thinking I'm a horrible dog owner...filtered through thousands of pages of research only to discover one thing. The most important thing anyone can do is to do good by the dog in front of you.

I'm dedicated in helping people find what works for them and to help filter out a lot of the outside noise that really isn't necessary. I want to be a friend to people who want to do good, be good and responsible.

Let's create a culture of inclusion and compassion. Understanding every person, every dog is different and may need different tools or observations to succeed!
